The recently completed DeepSafe project has released a report on the safety acceptance of autonomous vehicles, exploring the perceptions and acceptance of AV and ADAS technologies by the UK general public.

The report is one of the many outputs of the DeepSafe project, and the culmination of a year-long study that involved over 1,000 participants, and is the first of its kind to provide a comprehensive overview of the safety perceptions and acceptance of autonomous vehicles. Professor Panagiotis Angeloudis will deliver a talk on the current state of the art of Maritime AI Developments at the 2025 Singapore Maritime Research Conference 2025.

The talk will build upon the lab’s ongoing educational and research initiatives in autonomy, freight transport and artificial intelligence.

The lecture will be titled “Mitigating Risk in Autonomous Vehicle Operations: Urban Autonomy and Beyond,” and will cover TSL’s work on AV training models based on real-world traffic incidents and camera data.

Several of our researchers participated in the latest edition of UK-MAS, presenting their work on multi-agent reinforcement learning in autonomous vehicle control.

We are delighted to announce that our researcher Vincent Wu has won the Best Presentation Award for a 2nd year in a row at the annual Departmental PhD Research Symposium.
